Acer C720 Chromebook vs. Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro
For all those looking to buy a PC, below is a comparison of the latest laptop devices offered by two leading companies, Acer and Toshiba:
Acer C720 Chromebook
The Acer C720 Chromebook (C720-3404) has been termed the Chromebook for a power user which at first might seem like an allusion. The C720-3404 could possibly be the laptop for you if you’re an experienced Chrome operating system user and are looking for a laptop which can handle multitasking faster and more easily.
But it is possible that at the exact same price, you could be lured by other cheaper options in laptops that come equipped with Windows operating systems. These offer better compatibility with the current apps (but with sluggish processors).
The design of the C720-3404 is the same as that of the Acer C720 Chromebook (C720-2800). It operates well, but its outdated dark gray frame doesn’t match up to the sophisticated exteriors of other systems such as the HP Chromebook 11.
Screen and resolution
The screen of the C720-3404 also remains unchanged- 11.6 inches LCD screen with 1366 X 768 pixels resolution. The viewing angles are narrower, particularly in comparison with similar devices that have IPS screens such as the HP Chrmebook 11.
The C720-3404 lacks touch screen; however that is not really a big minus since Chrome operating system is not designed to work with touch screens. The keyboard is good enough for any kind of typing whether school documents or lengthy novel manuscripts and the single piece touchpad is well-sized and responds pretty nicely.
Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro
There are several devices in different price ranges available today which offer a combination of the features of a laptop and a tablet. For a combination of a good Windows tablet and a decent ultrabook, try the Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro P35W-B3226. A well-built system with top of the line components and an adequate offering of features makes this device worth a consideration.
The fact is that a hybrid system such as this cannot be simply made by joining a keyboard and a tablet. This is exactly what makes the Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro less appealing than several other systems which have fewer features. Several problems have been reported with regards to docking hinge and few ports are not accessible with the docked tablet.
